Amoeba/ অ্যামিবা

স্লাইডে একফোটা পানি নিয়ে ফোল্ডস্কোপের নিচে রাখার পর এটা দেখতে পেলাম। এটা কি আসলেই অ্যামিবা?

Take a drop of water on slide and get this. Is this a Amoeba? I’m not sure.

Yes this is an amoeba and quite a gigantic one. The picture is absolutely fantastic. Please please take a video of this. Then we can carefully study the internal parts and the pseudopodial movements.
    খুব ভালো

One alternative hypothesis could be that it is a trapped air bubble. The side look too smooth to me. That’s just a hypothesis right now. I am known to see “bubbles” everywhere..

As @Laks said, a movie would do the trick. Also, if you found one; you will find others. A short movie and how it moves will tell it apart.

Are you using plastic or glass slide. Please describe your method; to ensure we are looking at the right thing. If you used plastic slide; I could imagine the contrast inside the object could come from adhesives in slides.

The mystery continues; but that;s the fun 🙂

Hmm Manu’s absolutely right, this could be a bubble too. A movie is what would solve this.

I am using glass slide and use my mobile flash light as light source. Now I’m sure it’s a bubble. I made another slide taking a drop of water from the same water source. Then I found nothing like amoeba. :/
