Microstomum lineare ?

This is another giant flatworm from the same habitat. It was really incredible to see the feeding behavior of this worm under the foldscope. I consider it as Microstomum lineare after consulting the available information on the species. I request @ Manu sir, to validate the identification.

    Dear @Raju,
What a beautiful video! Love the details on the feeding behavior – at times the cilia are also visible.

It’s a microstomum for sure; I am also puzzled with the body spots. Previously I have never seen that many body markings in any of my samples.

Beautiful dataset! Can you mention a lone or two on the exact location of your sample collection – use the geotag feature for marking the spots.

@Raju. This is gorgeous. Love the part where it gobbles a ciliate. I looked up my worm book and you are spot on about the genus and perhaps the species. The thing is that there appears to be so little known about it. It appears to be a free living flatworm.
