Agaricus campestris

When I was collecting water sample from a nearby lake with my students, I have seen this fungus in the surface of the lake. This is a common species of Basidiomycetes fungi – “Agaricus compestris”, commonly called as meadow mushroom. It was found growing alone in the fields having grassy areas. When seen under the foldscope the brown, ellipsoid basidiospores were prominent.
