The Levels of a Down Feather (Bio60_2019)

I found this down feather, likely from a goose, and thought it would be incredibly interesting to see what the sub-level organization looked like. Examining it through my Foldscope, it looks as if it is composed of full-size feathers, when of course the detail here cannot be seen with the naked eye. It is so interesting to see the repetitive levels of organization that exist in nature. I wonder whether this pattern would repeat if we looked at one of the smaller branching strands of the feather.
