A Tour through Nature

The image is a blade of grass viewed under a foldscope. The sample of grass was obtained on the grass field near the wedding cake building (adjacent to Baxter) on Wednesday May 15, 2019 at 3:02 pm. The blade of grass was obtained by carefully plucking it off the field. A small part of the blade of grass was then put on a slide, taped to the slide, and viewed under the foldscope. Below is a picture of where it was obtained.



This beautiful image is a piece of a (purple) Jacaranda flower viewed under a foldscope. The Jacaranda was obtained on the grass field between Milikan library and the East bridge building on Wednesday May 15, 2019 at 3:08 pm. The Jacaranda was obtained by picking it off the ground and carefully removing a small piece. The small piece was then put on a slide, taped to the slide, and viewed under the foldscope. Below is a picture of where it was obtained (that is not my picture, but I don’t think you guys said it needed to be.).

This image is a piece of a red leaf viewed under a foldscope. The leaf was obtained on the grass field right in front of Avery (between Avery and Annenberg) on Wednesday May 15, 2019 at 3:15 pm. The red leaf was obtained by picking it off the ground and carefully removing a small piece of it. The small piece was then put on a slide, taped to the slide, and viewed under the foldscope. Below is a picture of where it was obtained.

The green leaf was obtained on the grass field right in front of Avery (between Avery and Annenberg) on Wednesday May 15, 2019 at 3:17 pm. The green leaf was obtained by picking it off the ground and carefully removing a small piece of it. The small piece was then put on a slide, taped to the slide, and viewed under the foldscope. The stick was obtained by picking it off the ground and carefully removing a small piece of it. The small piece was then put on a slide, taped to the slide, and viewed under the foldscope. This image is (I think) a piece of a red piece of wood viewed under a foldscope. The wood was obtained in front of San Pasqual Apartments on Wednesday May 15, 2019 at 3:31 pm. The red piece of wood was obtained by picking it off the ground and carefully removing a small piece of it. The small piece was then put on a slide, taped to the slide, and viewed under the foldscope. Below is a picture of where it was obtained (once again, not mine).



This (high quality) image is part of a stem of a flower viewed under a foldscope. The stem was obtained in front of San Pasqual Apartments on Wednesday May 15, 2019 at 3:33 pm. The stem was obtained by picking it off the ground and carefully removing a small piece of it after removing it from the flower. The small piece was then put on a slide, taped to the slide, and viewed under the foldscope. Below is a picture of where it was obtained (once again, not mine).
