Epidinium in rumen fluid

Epidinium is a rumen ciliate, present in large numbers in cattle fed with high starch diets.

      Sir, Thanks for your comments. Rumen fluid was collected from a healthy cow and 25 microlitre of rumen fluid was placed on a glass slide and mixed with equal quantity of lugol’s iodine, Cover slip was placed and visualized under foldscope.
