    Yes Blepharisma it is. There is a wonderful story about Blepharisma. These chaps are cannibalistic and also show gigantism. If you find these again, put them in a water containing a few boiled wheat grains. They grow for months in such a medium.

  3. Wow, that was a cool pink paramecium until @Manu and @laksiyer pointed it to be blepharsima. Really a strange ciliate, it’s an anti predator. Here’s a good article.
