Reaction of vinegar and baking soda [video]

Some baking soda was placed on a glass slide and covered with a cover glass, then a dropper was used to place some vinegar on the slide. The vinegar was sucked under the cover glass by capillary action and reacted with the backing soda.

    Unfortunately, the camera on my phone doesn’t record enough frames per second to make slowing it down worth much in terms of seeing more. I believe you can slow it down a bit if you click the settings icon on the video bar, though. 🙂

    Beautiful – clearly in top list for kitchen science experiments..
