    Incredible find Dr. Joytsna Das. I have imaged Rotifers for so many years; I had never seen a colonial rotifer. Beautiful video of an incredible animal.

    Could you also post the surroundings you found the animals – what does this pond look like. I am also sharing a link to general description on these colonial animals. It would be beautiful to image the flow field of “collective” feeding in these rotifers.. please see a recent technique we made available at : http://www.wgilpin.com/flowtrace_docs/ – you could use milk as a tracing particles.
