Heartbeat of Zebra fish recorded under foldscope

Zebra fish (Danio rerio) has been emerged as one of the latest “models” for vertebrate embryological development studies. It offers advantages over traditional mammalian models as it has transparent body which is helpful in tracking down of drugs and can easily be monitored under foldscope. Heartbeat of the normal Zebra fish embryo (a week old) was recorded under foldscope. Auricles and Ventricles of  the  heart and Yolk sac is clearly seen.

Hello Sir, This is an amazing video recorded. Even I am working on Zebrafish embryos but I am facing difficulty to keep the embryos alive while watching it under foldscope as it gets smashed. It would be nice if you could please help me with the type of slide or the trick used to keep the embryo live and record this.

    Waiting for your reply.
    Thank you.
