    That’s incredibly beautiful. I have seen many green cynobacteria; but the red pigment is a first for me.

    Fantastic work – now I am very curious if all the photosynthetic pigments are present in certain cynobacteria species.

      Thank you. These are Oscillatoria filaments which turned red due to production of excess phycoerythrin under stressed condition (polluted water).
