First View नयी शुरुआत

Black ant and salt crystals
Black ant and salt crystals

Today I got my very own Foldscope; thanks to Manu and team. It has been a privilege to be holding this engineering and design marvel in my hands.

This is the very first post in Hindi on microcosmos. With a very large group of students we are engaging in India; your posts will inspire them to share findings.

Next post I make – I will also translate in Hindi. Could you provide clear instructions for how to post in Hindi for a native Hindi speaker 🙂

    Cheers
    Manu

It takes a while to start thinking in hindi for someone who has been english-speaking for a long time 🙂

    1. To begin with, use http://www.google.com/inputtools/try/ to convert roman hindi into Devanagri
    2. Structure your thoughts in short sentences. Helps simplify the flow
    3. Its fine to use some english words (like slides, bacteria etc). Perhaps use both the hindi and english version of the same word
    4. Learn from people’s feedback (my advice is not rooted in any real-world experience)

स्वतन्त्र दिवस अभिनन्दन | I am re-discovering the incredible microscopic diversity of the desh. Just heard that a small unexplored plot in TN uncovered several new species of butterflies. I notice that the feel to the foldscope changes in high humidity, but it isnt too bad… Want to finish my collections first before posting. Hope to see more posts from Bharat.
