Morphology of Ostracodinium nucleolobum is roughly triangular to flattened ellipsoidal and left side is slightly convex, while right side is nearly flat.

Morphology of Diplodinium monocanthum is oval to triangular with posterioroblique and truncated end. It is found in the rumen of cattle.
