One day Workshop about ‘Usefulness of foldscope in on-field detection of root knot nematode infection’ , for students from farming background had been conducted on 16.07.2019 at Dr.N.G.P. Arts and Science College, Coimbatore-48. Around 35 students from different regions of Tamilnadu were participated in the program.
Dr.C.Sankaranarayanan, Principal Scientist, Department of Nematology, Sugarcane Breeding Institute, Coimbatore have delivered Theoretical and Technical sessions on nematode infection, identification and control measures.
We are hopeful that students who learned about nematode infestation and their control measures, will educate the farmers of their area.
