Educating school children on menstrual hygiene, usage and disposal of sanitary napkins

Workshop no menstrual hygiene was held at schools in Rajaborari, a remote area in Madhya Pradesh. School students were shown the bacteria on sanitary napkins using foldscope. Slides were created by collecting the bacteria on napkins. Doctors were invited to explain menstrual hygiene to students and sample sanitary napkins were distributed.

Foldscope Naija is official! Our first outreach engagement was with two sets of Foldscope Enthusiasts. The first image is out outreach at Christ School Ado-Ekiti. The Foldscope Naija Team walked the participants through how to correctly assemble a Foldscope and how to use it to view microscopic elements.
