    I noticed the movement seen in the video, most likely, is an air bubble moving. Once you make a section of a plant tissue, it can get an air bubble trapped and while moving to focus the sample – you are moving that bubble. It’s a very interesting effect.

    Also, try to ensure the image is in perfect focus. If you bring the Z-focus ramp to “zero” and the image is still not focused – you can try to “flatten” your foldscope just a little bit so the lens is all the way down when you bring z ramp to “zero”. Holding with two hands close to the lens, compress the foldscope a little bit. Also, make sure all the folding creases are done very well. Sometimes it is easy to just unfold and fold the microscope again to ensure that the focus is perfect.
