  Science Teacher Ms. Chethana of Govt High school, Arekere Village, Bhadravathi Tk approached me to know about Foldscope and its uses. As per the instructions given by me she has guided the students to exhibit and display the Foldscope and students tried to focus different organisms like Algae, Plant materials etc., that fetched them third prize at Taluk level.

Rumen liquor activity of ciliates

<p>
 Preliminary Workshop for Veterinarians was arranged today at Veterinary college Shimoga. All the participants are undergoing post graduate programs on deputation. There was overwhelming response from the Doctors. All actively involved themselves in assembling and visualizing various fixed stained slides.
</p>
<p>
 They have expressed the following
</p>
<ol>
 <li>
  Supply of pre assembled FoldScope
 </li>
 <li>
  Difficulty in mounting the slides
 </li>
 <li>
  Supply of torch light along with all the kits.
 </li>
 <li>
  Capturing the image using Mobile phone is a challenge.                                                                                          However they expressed this as an improtant and cost effective tool that shall be carried out even while on field visits.
 </li>
</ol>
