Dr. Poonam Singh holds a Ph.D. in the area of Life Sciences (Microbiology). She is presently working as Senior Scientist in Corrosion & Materials Protection Division at CSIR-Central Electrochemical Research Institute, Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu, India. Earlier she has worked as a Scientist at CSIR- Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow, India for past ten years. Her research interests include Applied Microbiology in the area of Environment, Microbiologically influenced corrosion, Wastewater treatment, Regulatory Toxicology, Hematotoxicology and Reproductive Toxicology, Dr. Poonam has published more than 40 research articles in reputed journals with citations and 7 book chapters. She is also a reviewer of several reputed journals.
