 that has no definate shape and that moves by means of pseudopodia. Pseudopodia or pseudopods are temporary projections of the cell and the word literally means “false feet”. The cell uses the pseudopodia as a means of locomotion. The plural of amoeba is “amoebae”, not “amoebas”. Although the word “amoeba” or “amoeboid” is often used to refer to all protozoa that move using pseudopodia, the word

 (written in italics and with a capital letter) refers to a specific genus of protozoa of which

 is the best-know species.


 The cytoplasm of an amoeba contains the organelles and is enclosed by a cell membrane. An amoeba uses a process called phagoctyosis to obtain food. This is a process in which projections of the cell membrane of the amoeba extend and surround the food particle, totally enclosing it. The food particle is thus internalized in a sort of “bubble” called a vacuole. The food particle can then be digested in the vacuole. The amoeba reproduces via mitosis

 I tried to observe sand bubbler crab shell through Foldscope which i found in sand. I observed it in almost no light.

 Many different species of Seed Shrimp live in vernal pools. They come in many colors. They have a single eye. The body of a Seed Shrimp is protected by two shells that form its carapace. The carapace resembles a seed, so they are called Seed Shrimp. The body inside the carapace is short with two sections, a head and a thorax. The head has four pair of appendages (leg-like structures). The thorax has three more pair of appendages.

 I came across this fungus growing on dead bark of betel nut tree. I picked few fungus, observed there and then using paper slide and cello-tape which I carry in my foldscope kit.
 
 I collected the bark sample to prepare the slide of the fungus using Lactophenol blue stain for identification.

 Dandruff is a common chronic scalp condition marked by flaking of the skin on your scalp. Dandruff isn’t contagious or serious.


 Dandruff itself is not a fungus, although it is caused by the presence of a naturally occurring fungus,
 
 Malassesia globosa
 


 Dandruff is caused as
 
 this fungus breaks down oils on your scalp
 
 called sebum. This process produces oleic acid – something which 1 in 2 people around the world are sensitive to.


 If you’re sensitive to it,
 
 your scalp becomes irritated
 
 and increases the rate at which it renews skin cells in an attempt to get rid of whatever is irritating it. This causes skin cells to clump together, forming flakes that we associate with dandruff.

 Earthworm is a segmented worm; a terrestrial invertebrate belonging to the phylum Annelida.  Earthworms have a tube-like arrangement or cylindrical shaped and reddish-brown segmented body. The body consists of S-shaped setae, which help in locomotion in the earthworm. Setae are present in each segment except in the first, last and clitellum segments.
