<p>
 In molluscs a rasp-like structure of tiny teeth used for scraping food particles off a surface and drawing them into the mouth. The radula is analogous to a tongue and is used to aid in feeding and rasping through the shells of its prey.

<p>
 Chromatophores are organs that are present in the skin of many cephalopods, such as squids, cuttlefish, and octopuses, which contain pigment sacs that become more visible as small radial muscles pull the sac open making the pigment expand under the skin.

 These are the flower’s eggs, located inside the ovary. Upon fertilization by pollen, they will eventually grow into a seed. In fruit plants, pollen will not only spark the growth of a seed, but a surrounding fruit as well.

 is a dematiaceous filamentous fungus. Most species of
 <em>
  Curvularia
 </em>
 are facultative pathogens of soil, plants, and cereals in tropical or subtropical areas, while the remaining few are found in temperate zones. As well as being a contaminant,
 <em>
  Curvularia
 </em>
 may cause infections in both humans and animals.
 <em>
  Curvularia
 </em>
 produces rapidly growing, woolly colonies on potato dextrose agar at 25°C. From the front, the color of the colony is white to pinkish gray initially and turns to olive brown or black as the colony matures. From the reverse, it is dark brown to black.

 Ferns are reproduced from spores that are gathered in clusters called sori, which are usually on the underside of the fronds. The spores can be yellow, green, brown, or black. The sori are sometimes covered with a membrane called an indusium, which will lift up when the spores are ripe.

 Fungi can be single celled or very complex multicellular organisms. This is a mould type of fungus. Moulds are made up of very fine threads (hyphae). Hyphae grow at the tip and divide repeatedly along their length creating long and branching chains. Most fungi can reproduce through both sexual and

 . Asexual reproduction occurs through the release of spores or through mycelial fragmentation, which is when the mycelium separates into multiple pieces that grow separately. We can also see certain spores in the image above.

 Polytene chromosomes are usually found in the larvae, where it is believed these many-replicated chromosomes allow for much faster larval growth than if the cells remained diploid. Simply because each cell now has many copies of each gene, it can transcribe at a much higher rate than with only two copies in diploid cells.

 The head of the mosquito larva is basically prognathous. The mouthparts, therefore, are considered as anterior appendages. The mandibles and maxillae exhibit a wealth of taxonomic characters that, unfortunately, are not extensively used in mosquito taxonomy. A

 Euchlanis is a genus of the microscopic invertebrates known as rotifers. Sometimes alternatively referred to as wheel-animalcules, rotifers feature a characteristic circular arrangement of cilia at their front ends that are reminiscent of a turning wheel when they are in motion. In addition to a ciliated corona, or head, Euchlanis species have transparent bodies and two strong toes used for swimming. They are also sheathed in a glassy shell secreted by their outer skin. Inside, each tiny individual rotifer is surprisingly complex, possessing a brain, bladder, reproductive organs, intestines, and a stomach. They are not endowed, however, with a circulatory system.
