Using the Foldscope for the first time was honestly pretty cool. I observed onion skin and a fern. The onion cells looked super neat, almost like tiny bricks lined up together, while the fern looked more random in structure. The hardest part was making the onion sample properly. Getting a thin peel without tearing it and placing it correctly took a few tries, but once it worked, the cells looked really clear under the Foldscope. Overall, it was a fun first experience seeing actual cells up close instead of just looking at them in textbook diagrams.
