<p>Our first graders explored types of real and synthetic hair&#x2F;fur.  Students compared smooth vs. textured hair shafts, as well as different shades.  Students read <em>Hair Love</em> by Matthew A. Cherry and learned how the microscopic shape of the hair shaft influences grooming needs.
