I used all 3 magnifications to view the onion cell. I started with 50x.
In this view, I could see the brick-type layout of the onion cells. I could not see the contents of the cell. Next, I tried with 140x:
At 140x, I began to see the contents of the cell, as well as a more focused view of each cell. I could see the contours of the cell, the nuclei, and some cells that were plasmolysed.
I next tried at 340x:
At 340x, I could see the nucleus of the cell clearly, as well as the ribosomes and other cell organelles.
