<p>Students took soil samples with a soil probe and chose the layer they wished to explore in their Foldscopes. This was a wonderful activity with the students! Hearing their amazement at minerals they could identify microscopically with the Foldscopes and recognizing root hairs and small worms was extremely fulfilling.
