My lesson plan is to tie in Horton Hears a Who into the foldscopes.
Since the story is about an elephant that hears a who living in Whoville.
Read the story of Horton Hears a Who to the students and then go outside with the Foldscopes so students can look at the world smaller than the eye can see. Then they are to create their own Whovilles based on what they see under the microscope.
