Just got my first foldscope!!! I saw a fern cross section and an onion peel. Learned so much about how to make slides and how to use a foldscope! It was super cool to be able to see a close up of the matrix, and all the parenchyma cells and the other weird cells. Feels mind-blowing to be doing this!!

The fern rhizome had very dark red cells in the center, which was surrounded by layers of pink and blue cells, and also transparent cells with a reddish blob in the center. All this was surrounded by read parenchyma cells. The onion cell was much harder to observe, due to the moisture, but I helped a friend get a very nice photo of the cells in 340x, where you could see all the walls and the nucleus clearly.
