It's absolutely amazing that people are able to take such beautiful pictures with a microscope that could fit in a little mesh pouch and is made mostly of paper. I will admit I had a lot of trouble assembling my Foldscope, but when folded correctly, the kinds of things you can study with it are incredible. I took a picture of a blade of grass; the resolution is not perfect and my phone was shaking a little while I took the picture. However, you can definitely see it's green, and if you look very closely, the little bubbles might actually be plant cells separated by cell walls. Cool! Ecology truly is everywhere. As Walt Whitman once wrote in Song of the Open Road , "The earth is rude, silent, incomprehensible at first; Be not discouraged - keep on - there are divine things, well envelop'd"
