This was the 2nd day of Exploring the Microcosm at LGP 2026. These are starch grains observed at magnifications of 50x, 140x, and 340x.
There were a few observations that were pretty evident. I could see small, transparent bubble like structures that got bigger and clearer the more I magnified. Also, these bubbles were dissimilar and dispersed, as you can see in the images attached below
Just like the potato peel, this sample was challenging to prepare, as we quickly had to tape it before it dried up. It took a few attempts, but it eventually worked out.
