I conducted this project as part of Professor Pringle’s EEB321 class at Princeton University.

In a classroom setting I decided to use a strand of my own hair as a sample to see with the microscope. Although I had difficulty getting a good picture, I could see a pretty good view of my hair and its smaller 'strands' up close. I found my hair as an interesting subject since it's organic as opposed to the inanimate objects available in the classroom. Overall creating the foldoscope was fun and this seems like a really useful tool to take with you anywhere. I would love to take this to an outside setting/off campus to use on samples 'in the wild.'
