Using a Foldscope, I conducted an intriguing experiment to observe cheek cells. First, I collected a saliva sample and transferred it onto a clean slide using a cotton swab. To enhance visibility, I stained the cells by adding a drop of blue ink next to them on the slide. Carefully, I covered the sample with a cover slip, ensuring it adhered properly. Then, attaching my Foldscope to my smartphone, I positioned the slide under the lens and adjusted it for a clear view. As I focused the Foldscope, the cheek cells came into sharp detail, with their nuclei standing out distinctly due to the blue ink staining. It was truly captivating to explore the microscopic world and witness the intricate structures within our own bodies.
