Ms. Pokora’s Bee and Anthecology Class tried out their foldscopes for the first time! For this lab I had students use dead bees from our own apiary to view the external structures of the bee up close! Students were able to view the antenna, the wings, and even the hind legs using the foldscopes. We had best results with using a flashlight. They were able to use their observations to view most parts of the bee and describe the importance of these structures for the bee!
