I assembled my sampling gear and went to Spring Harbor Beach in Madison, Wisconsin to see what I could find along the shore and in the shallow water. The beach was closed for swimming due to blue-green algae. The first photo shows my collection gear - the turkey baster was useful for gathering water samples from just below the surface. I don’t know what I’ve captured in the first two photos.
