I looked at a piece of my hair using a foldscope, and I thought it was so cool that this technology makes microscopy more portable, affordable, and accessible. This could be used in science classes in elementary, middle, and high schools, and I think that it would be a powerful tool to encourage examination of and excitement about science and the natural world.
I conducted this project as part of Professor Pringle's EEB321 class at Princeton University.
