A few months ago at PCAM 2026, I picked up a Foldscope with the thought that I'd try it someday.
Today was that day.
I placed a thin section of a fern rhizome under it, adjusted the focus and suddenly a hidden world appeared. Those tiny circular cells, the vascular bundle at the center and the intricate patterns looked more like a piece of art than plant tissue.
It's amazing how a microscope made from paper can reveal something so beautiful.
Sometimes the best discoveries begin with simple curiosity.
