This fur was given to me by staff at the Reindeer Park, close to Egilsstaðir in East Iceland. Reindeer fur is hollow, keeping them insulated and warm during the Arctic winter, as well as better able to float when crossing rivers. At the micro scale, it almost looks like a forest filled with vines and brambles.
