I've always been really interested in microscopy, so receiving a foldscope as part of a university assignment has been really cool!
One of the first images I got was of a fern gametophyte. I'm not sure of the exact species unfortunately. In this image you can see the cells of the leaf and along the edges I'm fairly sure those are antheridia. Antheridia are the sperm-producing part of the gametophyte.

The next photo I got is the coolest one I've managed to take in my opinion. I got a sample of my own blood from a pinprick on my finger and decided to take a look. There's way more detail than I thought I would get here which is super exciting! I think I see red blood cells here but if anyone knows for sure the cell types seen in this photo that would be awesome.

I'm definitely going to keep using the foldscope now that the project is over. I think its so cool how it makes microscopy so much more accessible!
