I was looking around my room a little bit ago and I thought " What can I look at with this cool little thing?". So, I looked around and I stumbled across some soap that I use to wash my hands. I prepped my slide and stuck it under the microscope. I was so amazed to see the patterns that were made when I looked through the lens. It's like a whole world of magic locked away from us.

You can see the light getting refracted by the particles in the soap. This is my first time using the foldscope 2.0, so it isn't the clearest, but I thought it was so cool, nonetheless.
After my exploration of my hand soap, I did some more looking, and I found a bottle of toothpicks. I said "I wonder if I can look at this under the foldscope and so I figured I would try. I broke the stick I half as an attempt to see what was happening inside however I don't think it came across as well in the pictures. I had no idea that toothpicks were so hairy. I mean ever couple millimeters there's another hair sticking up. I never would have guessed that just by running my hand along the edge of it. It makes a lot of sense why people get splinters now though!
