I went to Alibag, Mandva with three of my friends, and we had an amazing time! While walking along the coastline, we came across several Porpita — beautiful, delicate creatures that resemble jellyfish, though they aren't true jellyfish.
Curious and excited, we decided to observe them more closely under a Foldscope. It was a really fun and fascinating experience! I noticed some thread-like structures inside my Porpita . Interestingly, the whole organism decomposed quickly except for the central ring.
We also prepared a slide of its tentacle — here’s a picture of it! Within a day, the tentacle dissolved into a striking blue liquid.
The next day, my sister Sonali and I revisited the tentacle slide, only to find it had fully dissociated. Nature truly is full of surprises!
