We (students) made a Foldscope from a DIY kit in the bio lab at KIS, Lohegaon.
It was a very interactive class and exquisite experience. I enjoyed making the Foldscope, the invention of Sir Manu Prakash, because it needed attentiveness, patience and caution as its completely made of paper and weighs just 8 grams!
I observed pollen grains and Onion (also onion stained by Beetroot). The visuals amazed me, and the whole making and observing process was made me wonderful.
The experience was very exciting, plus the amount of focus and care needed really stimulates cognitive thinking.
I would recommend this to everyone who likes to study microorganisms.
