I placed a drop of black ink on a slide and left it out to dry. It never fully solidified, so I covered it with clear tape and put it under my Foldscope. What I saw took my imagination to outer space. The air bubbles trapped in the liquid medium flowed across the screen and appeared like purple stars against a black background.
