Using the Foldscope to observe the inner part of a potato was a very exciting experience for me. I prepared a small sample from inside the potato and placed it carefully on the slide for observation under different magnifications.

When I observed the sample through the Foldscope, I could see many tiny starch granules inside the potato cells. These granules looked like small shining beads clustered together. At lower magnification, they appeared as tiny dots, but under higher magnification, their shapes and arrangement became much clearer.

The observation helped me understand that potatoes store food in the form of starch. It was amazing to see these microscopic starch particles with my own eyes using a simple paper microscope like the Foldscope.

This activity made science learning more practical and interesting. It showed me that even an ordinary potato contains a hidden microscopic world that we cannot see normally.
If you have read till here, thank you for joining me on this tiny potato adventure! Now you officially know that potatoes are not just tasty — they are scientific too!
