As a part-time STEM teacher, I received my Foldscopes for the first time at the end of the year. I had one 45-minute class to go with my students, and I wanted to use them!

In 45 minutes, I introduced the foldscopes (most students had never used a microscopes before) and we spent the time exploring how to use them and looking at everyday objects, salt, hair, and a paper towel. Students had to guess what they were looking at!

I thought that it went great! Students were excited when they figured out how the Foldscope worked, and they loved guessing what they were looking at. They were stuck on the salt being an ice cube, which was precious, but they were like "Ohhh" when I told them that it was salt at the end of class.

I can't wait to use them again!
