During our insect unit in Kindergarten, students viewed the wings of both a dragonfly and cicada through the foldscope. They loved that both had such detail in its design and were amazed at the shapes they could see woven into them. ( note: I couldn’t get the camera on my phone to work .. not the foldscopes fault- old phone) so I couldn’t get the images recorded. Students drew their own images of what they saw after viewing.
