Hello everyone , look what we explored today!. This is the story of our ecology class where we were having a nature walk at Ashoka campus . We all observed different insects , plants and some birds . We all were just going around the campus and here what we come across . These small plants .

And we noticed that these plants had a lot of leaves . Not just leaves but we found that the leaves were filled with these small insects . They covered most of the part of the leaves whether it was on top of it or under it . looking at this we felt that this was the habitat of these insects but we're not quite sure of it . The insect seemed to be black in colour that was the only thing we could observe because it was quite small and tiny . We wanted to check the internal structure of the insect and what it looks like hence we thought of making this as one of our samples . we plucked a leaf out and slowly went near the insect . Once it flew away, next time we were more alert and however captured it by taking a tape and putting it on the leaf , so that the insect would stick on it easily . Next , we prepared a slide of it .

It was such amazing experience to observe this insect . We could observe that the insect was kind of brown in colour and we also saw some green part in it . According to our observations , we could interpret that the green part may be the food the insect had eaten , as it was sitting on a leaf . May be its the leaf's part it had now.

Another interesting part of this insect was it seemed to have wings . What we observed is , it had 6 wings ,3 on each side surprisingly connected to its legs .the thought that came into our minds was that it seemed to be a similar structure like a bat . As we had captured it , we think the wings might have broken because we could see some fluid flowing from its wings . We feel that the shape of its wings became irregular due to which the fluid in it just flowed out . We found this as the most interesting part of our observations .If you could observe something else , do share it with us ,would love to hear from you .

This was our today's observation and we are glad to observe it.

Signing off ,
Hinal and Meenal
