Workshop on “Foldscope: Paper Microscope” at NCMR-NCCS, Pune, Maharashtra

A student exposure tour comprising of 13 students and two assistant teachers from MeECL Secondary, School and two ICAR for NEH Region project staff (one JRF and one project assistant) to NCMR-NCCS, Pune, Maharashtra was carried out from 8 th to 18 th November, 2018. Four days orientation workshop on “Foldscope: Paper Microscope” (under DBT Funded Project) was conducted in NCMR-NCCS headed by Dr. Praveen Rahi from 12 th to 15 th November, 2018.

The students were captivated by the fascinating origami of foldscope and actively participated with great keenness and enthusiasm.


Several samples were collected by the students and research fellows and observed under the foldscope. Some of the major ones are listed in the images below.
