Ticks were collected from cattle and stored in 10% Formalin. Based on the morphology, the tick was identified as Boophilus microplus (male) under foldscope.
It was observed that Boophilus microplus are brevirostrates(have short mouth parts). A dorsal hump and ventral notch was also visible in the 1st Coxa. The presence of caudal process (in male tick) was also visible.
