Toxocariasis is an infection transmitted from animals to humans (zoonosis) caused by the parasitic roundworms Toxocara commonly found in the intestine of dogs and cats.
Anyone can become infected with Toxocara. Young children and owners of dogs or cats have a higher chance of becoming infected. The image shows the Toxocara spp. eggs as observed through foldscope attached with S8 plus smartphone by placing the sample after floatation method on the glass slide and using cello tape to fix the coverslip.
