Observing protein crystals under foldscopeDownload Here is the video for setting a protein crystallization slide, here we have shown how to set a protein crystal slide and its observation under foldscope. The resolution of foldscope is 2 micron and the size of protein crystals varies from 0,.1mm to 1mm. So we can easily see a protein crystal under a foldscope. Here we have crystallized lysozyme which is an enzyme found in our saliva and tears. Lysozyme is an enzyme that breaks the glycosidic linkage of the bacterial cell wall. That is how it protects us from infectious bacteria by killing them through this mechanism.
