This workshop was organised at Vidhyasthali Public Sr. Sec. School, Ramkui, Jaipur, Rajasthan, India on 15/01/2019 (workshops were organized as class after class sequence and as per the free or arranged class schedule of school) in the title of “ One Day Workshop on FOLDSCOPE & its applications (Shift Science from Lab to Field)” , for the purpose to encourage science education and cost effective scientific pedagogical tools for the social benefits with the theme of “ Microscope should be in the pocket of each and every student ”, on behalf of Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India, New Delhi and Maharishi Arvind College of Pharmacy, Jaipur, Rajasthan .

At first, participants were introduced to microscopy principles and then assembling of the foldscope was demonstrated. All the 93 participants, teachers and students were thrilled after watching the such clear slides of common things using common methods (prepared using a thick paper and cello tape) and various video of foldscope-slides (prepared by us, were shown live using a projector). Workshop participation certificates and light refreshment were also given to all the participants.
