Skin cells in a different light

lately I’ve been wondering what skin cells would like with the fold scope. So, using the high-mag lens and light module I decided to find out. after putting the tape on the first side of the slide I pressed my thumb firmly on the second piece. I noticed that quite a few dust particles had gotten on the tape before I put it on the slide but I decided to go ahead with it. looking at the skin made me think of spilled milk, with many large and small globs of skin. this could be due to the fact that the tape flattened the skin sample on the slide. while I was looking, I started to notice the dust particles. they resembled large hairy spiders strewn about here and there. I also found a long (figuratively) orange thing that I could not identify.  through this process I was able to see my skin in a whole different light (pun not intended).  truly, the fold scope allows us to see the world in a unique, complex, and wonderful way that we couldn’t see without it.  thanks again to all the team in the fold scope project.
